P.A.W.S: Wonderful furry friends
Decisions, decisions. Which of our wonderful furry friends will we put in the column this week? We’d love to put them all in here — and, in fact, if you visit our website at pawsadoption.org, you can meet most of them — but in the end we have to choose. We think this week’s choices are special because both these sweeties have very big personalities. And if you stop by to see them, you’ll know exactly what we mean.
Faith loves to play with her toys, especially the ones that squeak. Outside in her dog pen she runs around, tossing the toy as she goes and just having a good ol’ time. She’s an adventurous sort, too: She loves to walk around town meeting new people and seeing new sights, and she’s a pushover for car rides. Faith is a Rotti-Lab mix, about 9 years old, full of fun and a delight to be with. And as her name suggests, she’s faithful to her hope of finding a home where she will be able to give back as much love as she gets.
Einstein didn’t get his name out of nowhere. This is one very smart cat and a very friendly one too. He takes a shine to everyone he meets, and from time to time he’ll give you a high five. He’s a terrific gentleman with impeccable manners. And he’s smart enough to know that somewhere out there are not-yet-found friends whose lives he’ll fill with happiness. He’d enjoy a family to love him, and he’d also make a splendid companion for anyone who lives alone.
Did you know that there are nearly 50 litter boxes at the shelter, all of them needing to be cleaned every day? However you do the math, that’s a lot of litter, and we could definitely use your help with making sure that there’s enough non-clumping litter on hand to fill those boxes. If you’d like to donate a bag or two, you can leave them in the foyer or stop by when we’re open. The cats really appreciate your help (and we do too).
On our wish list: non-clumping cat litter, canned cat and dog food, toys for dogs and cats, catnip, cotton swabs and cotton balls. To tell the truth, we can use anything you want to donate!
Please take the time to drop by and see us and all our fabulous furry folk at 146 Camden St. in Rockport. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, our phone number is 236-8702 and pawsadoption.org is never closed! And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
