P.A.W.S: Our first kittens of spring 2014

Reddick

Ah, spring — or hints of it. More than a hint are our first kittens, as lovely and cuddly as always.

But first, we would like to introduce Reddick, a 2- to 3-year-old hound mix who is very gentle and loves to cuddle. Reddick is friendly with everyone he meets, and he is a particularly adept co-pilot: He loves to sit in the front seat of your vehicle and help you find the way. If you prefer walking, he is the perfect partner, and he will make a superlative family dog. Stop in and meet this loveable guy.

Now, say hello to Robin and her babies. Robin was found as a stray and brought to us. We soon discovered that she was pregnant, and the search was on for a foster home.  But before we could find a place for her, Robin gave birth to four beautiful kittens. Soon after, one of our wonderful foster families opened their home to Robin and her young. Robin and her babies will be in a home where they are loved and cared for the next eight weeks, at the end of which time they will become available for adoption.

These first few months are an important time in a kitten’s life. It is when they become socialized, learning to get along with people and each other. If you’ve never had the utter joy of watching helpless bundles of fur become lively, loving kittens, consider becoming a foster family and help care for a pregnant cat or orphaned kittens. Please call us for more details.

To see one of spring’s miracles at first hand and close up, stop in and meet all our beautiful boys and girls. We’re located at 146 Camden St. in Rockport, and we’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Our phone number is 207-236-8702 and our website at pawsadoption.org is never closed! And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
