Owls Head Garden Club meets April 2
Owls Head — The Owls Head Garden Club will meet Wednesday, April 2, at 10 a.m. at the Community Building on Ash Point Drive, Owls Head.
Following the business meeting, Doug Calhoun of the Waldo County Beekeepers Association will give a talk on bees, beginning at 11 a.m.. He will discuss the use of insecticides and fungicides, and the problems and possible causes of colony collapse disorder. Calhoun will recommend what gardeners can do to help bees which we rely on to pollinate tree fruits and nuts as well as many other crops.
The meeting is open to the public and visitors and prospective new members are welcome to attend.
