Barbara Tomlison will lead a discussion on owls and their habits at Merryspring Nature Center. Together with a live barn owl companion and her husband Tomm, Barbara will elaborate on owl natural history and behavior, including how they are voracious hunters, earning them the nickname “sharks of the night sky.” While quite rare in Maine, barn owls are found throughout the world, and have excellent hearing and keen eyesight. Admission is free for Merryspring members, with a nominal fee of $5 for non-members. FMI: 236-2239.
