Open casting call from Penobscot Theatre
Bangor — Penobscot Theatre Company has issued an open casting call for adults, and youths age 8 and older, Saturday, May 10, from noon to 6 p.m. for roles in PTC's 2014-2015 season. Extending from September through May, the season will include six professional productions with a variety of exciting parts. Anyone interested in being considered is encouraged to attend, AEA and non-AEA actors alike.
Auditions will be scheduled in five-minute slots. Interested parties must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "Audition Request" (no phone calls) and include in the body of the email the name and phone number of the person who wishes to audition and whether adult or youth. Requests may take up to 10 days to process.
Everyone should prepare a two-minute contemporary monologue (memorized) and bring a headshot and resumé stapled together. Vocalists also should be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song of their choosing; an accompanist will be provided, but vocalists must bring sheet music. An additional monologue or song may be requested, so participants should prepare accordingly.
Those who auditioned for PTC during the recent Unified Auditions on March 29 need not schedule an additional time now. Callbacks will take place at the beginning of June.
