October 2013 by Ananur calculated for east coast time zone.

This month there will be a lunar eclipse (full moon) on October 18 with the Sun and Moon in Libra. Heads up everyone: Mercury will be turning retrograde at 6:29 a.m. October 21 until November 10th. The Sun in rational, artistically inclined Libra will enter into emotionally deep and intense Scorpio on October 23 at 2:10 a.m. You’ll notice the shift at that time.
October 1 Mercury is in a congenial aspect with Neptune ushering in creativity and increasing compassion. However, at the same time the Sun in Libra is in a rough aspect with Pluto in Capricorn and also Uranus in Aries. This marks a time of unrest and rebellion. We’ve been in and out of the disruptive energy for about 2 years! The big corporations pretty much own “everything” and we the people hip to this fact keeps us in tension. Whistleblowers help keep us informed with information we already know intuitively. Egypt is still in a state of turmoil and very much connected to the Uranus/Pluto energy of disruption. Uranus and Pluto are going to remain in an awkward aspect, off and on until March 2016.
October 1-9 Saturn at 10 degrees of Scorpio is in a challenging aspect to Uranus at 10 degrees of Aries. Adjustments need to be made where old outdated laws, rules and regulations are no longer sensible. Hopefully this aspect will help the world wake up and offer what it can to clean up the Fukushima disaster, because it is affecting us all.
October 1-3 the Sun is Libra is exactly opposite Uranus in Aries, as I mentioned above, this is a disruptive time. Watch how you react or respond to situations as this aspect stirs up old wounds of anger. It’s the “don’t tell me what to do,” aspect all over again. Respect and consideration need to be valued and recognized in order to make progress. We need to listen to one another, respectfully, even if we don’t agree. Seek to understand rather than to, “be right.” This is what the Sun opposite Uranus wants to teach us for us to expand our unity and intuitive knowingness.
October 2 the Sun is now in a positive aspect to Saturn granting us all some patience when we sorely need it.
October 3 Venus is roughly aspecting Uranus which is known to bring about romantic attractions which probably will be exciting and magnetic but not long lasting. It is a creative time for thinking outside the box.
October 4-5 (ends at noon on the 5th) Mars is in an awkward aspect with Pluto suggesting conflict with those who have overpowering personalities. How to deal? Confrontationally? Would you consider just having a plain old honest conversation of thoughts and feelings? Heads up: This aspect can stir up anger and impatience. You could get burnt.
October 4 the New Moon commences for the next 29 ½ days with the Sun and Moon located at 11 degrees of Libra at 8:33 p.m. The position of Uranus will be right on the horizon conjunct “the part of fortune,” when the New Moon is exact and opposite the Sun and Moon. Expect the unexpected to occur any moment of any day, until the next New Moon (solar eclipse November 3). With Uranus in such a prominent position it’s smart to trust your intuition and stop thinking! I need to also let you know that Pluto is also in a prominent position in the New Moon chart. Disruption and unrest is still taking place.
October 4-6 Mercury is in a fine aspect with Pluto finding you interested in doing some research to learn and understand better how relationships work and how they can be improved. With Mercury in Scorpio, observing what is felt underneath the words will create a deeper bond.
October 6-8 Mercury is conjunct Saturn in Scorpio, the ultimate aspect for a determined mind to get to the root of the issue. This is an incredibly focused time for writers to go on a writing retreat.
October 7 is a busy time with Mars harshly aspecting Uranus alerting us all to be careful as this can be an accident prone time. Mercury is awkwardly aspecting Uranus reminding you to think before you speak! One more: Venus enters into Sagittarius remaining in this adventure loving fire sign until November 5. While Venus is in Sagittarius there’s a tendency to dream and envision places you want to be either physically via travel or philosophically and romantically. Life seems boring and dull without a vision to strive for. Sagittarius energy has no time for being bored.
October 8-10 (ends at noon on the 10th) Venus will be in a challenging aspect to Neptune. Romantic fantasy has got you by the tail and you can’t shake it or figure out what is real? Hopefully this refers to a novel you’re reading rather than your personal life. This aspect usually signifies disappointment due to unrealistic expectations. However it can be inspirational for writers and artists. Often sadness, as you know, will stimulate great lyrics.
October 10 the Sun will be in an awkward aspect with Neptune which can bring about a melancholy mood if you’ve recently experienced a disappointment, for instance in the last 2 days when Venus was in a challenging aspect with Neptune.
October 10-12 the Sun in Libra is now in a challenging aspect to Jupiter in Cancer. Pay attention while you’re baking for your new sweetheart, the oven could get left unattended for too long. It’s easy to get distracted and end up multi tasking with this fun aspect. You’ve got lots of ideas and interests. There’s far too much to do and it can’t get done all at once, and you don’t want to forget about exploring your interests/talents.
October 14-16 Venus is in a positive aspect with Uranus which is a fine time for meeting someone new who is a bit eccentric and full of fascinating life experiences. Perhaps you feel inspired by their life style and are starting to realize that you’ve held yourself back from doing things you really want to do before you consider yourself, “too old.” This aspect will have you exploring new options.
October 15 Venus is in a favorable aspect to Pluto which sometimes brings in someone from your past with whom you have a deep bond, or once had a deep bond with. Perhaps this relationship can be ignited.
October 15 Mars enters detail oriented Virgo at 7:05 a.m. and remains in this earthy sign until December 7. I’ve observed that people with Mars in Virgo are good at mechanics, realistic style art, writing research papers or technical booklets, and cabinet wood working for houses and ships. They are perfectionists. Do your best with Mars in Virgo to spend time on projects that require bringing out the perfectionist, in you.
