Oceanside preps ‘Disney’s Aladdin JR’
Rockland — According to Oceanside High School drama director Alison Machaiek, the school’s Tech Theatre classes are creating a whole new world in preparation for the fall musical, “Disney’s Aladdin JR.”
Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 15, 16, 22 and 23, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. at Oceanside East, 400 Broadway. Tickets at the door will be $8, $6 for students and senior citizens.
Cole Chase plays the title role and Jasmine is played by Cortney Simmons. The Genie is portrayed by James Nguyen. Jason Lund plays Evil Vizier Jafar, and Jeb Fontaine plays sassy sidekick Iago. Calvin Allen plays the Sultan. The Narrators include Jordan Carpenter, Nick Mahar, Rachel Johnson, Curran Grant, Kaila Harris and Ian Goff. Razoul is portrayed by Ben Young, and his henchmen include Preston Spear, Nick Judge, Zac Roman, Zac Dean, Josh Lutrell and Tony Baudanza.
Rounding out the large cast is Kyle Long, Trenton Jarrett, Anthony Dayboch, Kaleb Robinson, Matt Ansart, Evan Billington, Gunnar Cummings, Ryan Calamari, Sam Emery, Sam Calamari, Riley Pillsbury, Taylor Ankers, Willow C Crudell, Emily Protheroe, Kristen Philbrook, Grace Carias, Chloe Finger, Krissy McNichol, Molly Tobin, Sadie Bartlett, Hannah Grace, Meghan McGonagle, Elena Lausten, Kaylynn Emerson, Sadie Lake, Ashley Tyler, Kingsley Holmes, Chanel Courant, Sarah Penny, Ami Del Buono, Darrian Leonardi, Alex Barstow, Kali McGurl, Alexis Davis and Hannah Loring.
Barbra Hendricks serves as musical director, and Marlene Hall will lead auxiliary musicians. Dave Johanson serves as tech director.
