Oceanside names honor graduates

Rockland — Oceanside High School East has announced 11 of the 120 members of the Class of 2014 are honor graduates.

To be named an honor graduate, the student must maintain a GPA of 93 to 100.

Jacob Hyatt has been named valedictorian. He is the son of Erik and Violet Hyatt of Warren and Melanie Hyatt of Thomaston. He has a GPA of 99.84. Salutatorian is Isabella Garver, the daughter of William and Andrea Garver of Owls Head. Her GPA is 98.953.

Joining Hyatt and Garver at the top of the senior class as a summa cum laude honor graduate with a GPA of 98 to 100 is Samantha Deinesch-Calamari, daughter of Karen and George Calamari of Owls Head.

Cum laude honor graduates attaining a GPA of 93 to 95.99 are: Karly Robinson, daughter of Amy Stendel of Rockland and Chip Robinson of Thomaston; Hunter Grindle, son of Shane and Donna Grindle of Owls Head; Raegan Goulet, daughter of Alli and Greg Young of Cushing; Cassidy Rolfe, daughter of Kenneth and Tammy Rolfe of Thomaston; Bronson Philbrick, son of Bert and Janice Philbrick of Owls Head; Alexandria Moreash-Kennedy, daughter of Adam Kennedy and Annette Moreash-Kennedy of Cushing; Maggie Drinkwater, daughter of Eugene and Janet Drinkwater of Spruce Head; and Abby Hersom, daughter of Michael and Hope Hersom of Rockland.

Oceanside High School East will hold commencement ceremonies Tuesday, June 10.
