North Haven — A 33-year-old North Haven man was arrested June 6 and charged with a slew of infractions after he broke into another man's home looking for his female friend, said police.

While on routine patrol, Knox County Sheriff Deputies Jeremy Joslyn and Robert Potter overheard yelling and things being smashed at an island residence, according to Sheriff Donna Dennison.

Joslyn and Potter found Morgan Mayo on a rampage, assaulting a male victim in the home and destroying household items, the sheriff said.

Mayo was charged with assault, burglary, criminal mischief and operating without a license.

Alcohol was involved in the incident, said Dennison.

Mayo was taken to the Knox County Jail.
