North Haven couple produces podcast

Apr 03, 2017

North Haven — Island photographer, musician and writer couple Bill Trevaskis and Courtney Naliboff has released the second episode of their podcast, “12 Knots.”

The episode, “Outliers,” tells three stories of hidden diversity on North Haven Island, from kids who choose not to play basketball to the surprising LGBTQ island community to a story of racial intolerance from the island's past.

Trevaskis' photography has been featured in Down East, Collective Quarterly, Working Waterfront and Island Journal. His music can be heard on his website, ofthelion.org, and has been used by the Farnsworth Art Museum. Naliboff writes the “Salt Water Cure” column for Working Waterfront, for whom she also reports news from North Haven; and blogs for Bangor Daily News and Kveller. Her solo album “Almanac” can be downloaded from courtneynaliboff.com.

“12 Knots” is written, produced and edited by Trevaskis and Naliboff, both educators at Fox Islands schools, and features Trevaskis' original compositions. It is available for free download at ofthelion.org/12knots and on iTunes. For more information, contact courtney.naliboff@gmail.com or billtrevaskis@gmail.com.
