Norma L. D’Andrea Smith
Waldoboro — Norma L. D’Andrea Smith, 79, died Sept. 5, 2012, at the Knox Center in Rockland. She was born Sept. 9, 1932, in Englewood, N.J., to Harry and Rosilla Lyons D’Andrea. She grew up in Gorham and attended local schools.
She married Clayton G. Smith Jr. on Aug. 2, 1950. They followed Clayton’s career in the Army and lived in Maine, Germany, Georgia and Hawaii and eventually moved back to Rockland in 1968. They moved to Waldoboro in 1969. Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed shopping, music, animals and going out to eat. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton G. Smith Jr. who died in 2000.
She is survived by two sons, Clayton G. Smith III and his wife, Robin, of Waldoboro and William J. Smith of Portland; daughter, Kathleen Simmons and her husband, Brian, of Waldoboro; grandchildren, Cristy Smith and her partner Greg Winchenbach of Waldoboro, Erika Stone and her husband, Ryan, of Warren, Megan Monfiletto and her husband, Anthony, of Wiscasset, Chelsea Ponsant and her partner Austin Parsons of Benton and Kaitlyn May of Poland; great-grandchildren, Kylea Stone of Warren, Joshua Stone of Warren, Bria Ponsant of Benton, Nathan Winchenbach of Waldoboro and A.J. Monfiletto of Wiscasset.
A private family service will be held at the Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro. Burial will be in the Brookland Cemetery in Waldoboro.
