Nomination papers available in Union
Union — Nomination papers for the June municipal elections are available at the town office.
Positions that are available include one three-year term on the Regional School Unit 40 Board of Directors; one three-year and one two-year term on the Board of Selectmen; and a one-year term for treasurer.
Robert Williams was appointed to fill the school board seat for the unexpired term of Gail Hawes, who resigned late last year. He has taken out papers.
Board of Selectmen Chairman Elmer Savage's three-year term expires along with Selectman Greg Grotton's two-year term.
Laura Curtis, current treasurer, has also taken out nomination papers to seek reelection.
The deadline for filing is Monday, April 28.
Union will hold its Election Day on June 10, followed by town meeting June 16.
