New Year’s Eve at WRFR-LP

Indie musician Jason Dean of Northport (at mic) will be an on-air guest during WRFR-LP's New Year's Eve studio party.

Rockland — The DJs at WRFR-LP invite the community for New Year’s Eve refreshments (non-alcoholic) and DJed music Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the community radio station’s studio at 20 Gay St.

Live shows will be broadcast during that time, starting with contemporary French music on “Pardon My French” with Carol Ann Pretzel from 6 to 7 p.m. From 7 to 8 p.m. there will be funk, rock and beer news on “Pretzel and Beer” with Barry Pretzel.

The night will conclude with indie rock and electronic music on “Jo and Cheech’s Hour” from 8 to 9 p.m. with special guest Jason Dean. Dean, a pro drummer of 15 years, is the founder of Berenice Records, which showcases underground indie rock and electronic music from Midcoast Maine to New York City.

Those who cannot make it to the studio are invited to tune in at 93.3 FM in Rockland, 99.3 FM in Camden and online at WRFR.org.
