Navigation buoys to be removed from local waters
Camden — Fall is here and with that the boating season is quickly coming to a close on Megunticook Lake and Norton Pond.
Now that Columbus Day weekend has come and gone, Justin Twitchell, the Megunticook Watershed Association Lake Warden and Camden Inland Harbormaster, will begin removing the navigation buoys from the lake and pond, according to a news release from Megunticook Watershed Association.
Please be extra cautious when boating.
The navigation buoys are removed each fall to prevent ice damage during the winter. The buoys are placed back in the water early in May.
