Nativity Lutheran Church Hosts Mark Thallander and Friends in a Concert of Sacred Music August 24th

TRIUMPHANT TUNES AND TOCCATAS
Nativity Lutheran Church located at, 179 Old County Road in Rockport, will be hosting a concert of sacred music on August 24th at 7:00 PM. Internationally acclaimed organist Mark Thallander will be preforming Triumphant Tunes and Toccatas. Other featured performers include pianists, Glenda Winkle-Morrow and Kathleen Haley, organist Charles Brown, and a Festival Chorus under the direction of Wendell Purrington. 
Mark Thallander is a free-lance performer, author, and educator. He is best known as the music director of the Crystal Cathedral television broadcasts. Mr. Thallander lost an arm in a car accident while visiting Maine several years ago. Since that time he has devoted his career to performing services of thanksgiving all around the country. More information about Mark can be obtained from his website, markthallanderfoundation.org  and his performances can be viewed on youtube.
Glenda Winkle-Morrow has been appeared with Mark at many of his foundation events. She is currently Professor Emeritus of Piano at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. She holds a Masters Degree in Piano performance from Northwestern and is active in Orff based education. Kathleen Haley is music director at Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn, Maine.
