Rockport — Nancy Marie Raye Cloutier, 59, of Rockport, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
She was born in Rockland Jan. 4, 1954, and was the eldest daughter of Edwin L. Raye Sr. and Lorraine D. Raye.
Nancy was a 1972 graduate of Rockland District High School. She furthered her education, became a CNA, and stayed in that field for more than years. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting which her mother and aunts taught her many years ago, but more than anything, loved being with her family friends and especially her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her mother and father, Nancy is survived by her son Aaron David Cloutier his wife Melissa Anne Donoghue; four grandchildren Olivia Grace, Trevor Richard, Makenna Raye and Madison Anne of Mashpee, Mass. Her three sisters, Valerie J. Winchenbach, and her husband David of Rockport, Tracy A. Cunningham, and her husband Eugene of Rockland, Amy E. Strout, and her husband Joe of Raymond. Her two brothers, Edwin L. Raye Jr., and his wife Kim of Spruce Head, Sean P. Raye, and his wife Lina of Augusta; nieces and nephews Josiah and Carrie Winchenbach, Niles and Ryley Hill, Ian and Eben Doherty, Amber Raye.
A special thank you to all her friends and family who stayed by her side. A graveside service at Rockville Cemetery and a celebration of her life will be announced in spring 2014.
