NAGA Gymnasts Take Home Individual Titles at Fins, Feathers, and Fur Invitational

NAGA girls team level 5-7

The NAGA girls level 4-7 team competed in  the Fins,  Feathers, and Fur Invitational in Fairfield last Sunday. All the girls did an excellent job and many of them won individual titles.

The level 4 team consisted of Leanna Cotton of Thomaston, Audrey Scott of Hope, Genevieve Tempio-Wilson of Hope, Eleanor Greer of Rockport, and Ariel Power of Hope. In the 10 year old division, Leanna Cotton placed 2nd on balance beam with an 8.65 and 2nd all-around with a 33.75. In the 11 year old division Genevieve Tempio-Wilson placed 2nd on balance beam with 9.25 and 4th on both vault and uneven bars. Audrey Scott Placed first on bars (9.0), balance beam (9.3), and floor exercise (9.0). She tied for 3rd on vault with a 9.0. Audrey won  the all-around with a 36.3, the highest score obtained by any NAGA gymnasts thus far! In the 12-13 year old division Eleanor Greer won the uneven bars with a score of 8.7, placed 2nd on both balance beam (8.75) and floor exercise (8.75) and was 3rd on vault (8.6). Eleanor placed 2nd all-around (34.8), missing the all-around title by 0.1 tenths of a point! Ariel Power tied for second in the vault (8.9) and was 4th all-around (32.65).

The level 5 team consisted of Lauren Schenk from Rockport. Lauren placed 4th on vault (7.95), uneven bars (8.275),  and floor exercise (8.75). She finished 5th all-around with a score of 31.875.

 

The level 6 team consisted of Marta Denny of Rockport and Meghan Gallagher of Camden.Marta won the balance beam with a score of 8.675. She was also 2nd on the floor exercise with an 8.7 and 3rd on both the vault (8.25) and uneven bars (8.075). She placed 3rd all-around with a 33.7. Meghan won the vault with an 8.6 and placed 2nd on uneven bars with an 8.325. She was forth all-around with a 33.05.

 

The level 7 team consisted of MacAllister Moss of Bristol and Whitney Dow of Waldoboro. MacAllister placed 2nd on floor exercise with a 9.3 and 3rd on balance beam with an 8.6. She was 4th all-around with a 34.55. Whitney placed 4th on uneven bars with an 8.2 and fifth on both the vault (8.7) and floor exercise (8.45). She was 5th all-around with a 32.1.
