I will be voting for Obama because his values line up more with my own. I will maintain these values until I close my eyes to this world. They come from living through tough things. They come from meeting love and kindness along the way. I got to meet all sorts of people of different colors, sexual orientations, religious preferences, economic statuses, political views, etc. I lived in a mostly African American community. I brush elbows daily with the effects of poverty. I love every human being I meet, no matter how surly, because I was taught that everyone has something to offer. My life was saved by a gay man who died before I had the chance to thank him for teaching me these things. I was taught to love even in the midst of Hell and hardship. That is MY AMERICA and I am both proud and lucky to live here. You may vote for Romney if you choose. I would never fault anyone for a different view. That does not line up with my values. I know Obama is not perfect, but please do not try to convince me to vote otherwise because I am okay. God bless this president and I pray he gets a second term.
