MVHS honors fall student-athletes
Veteran coach Gould recognized for induction into Midcoast Sports Hall of FameWaldoboro — Student-athletes and a coach were among those honored during the Medomak Valley High School fall sports awards night Nov. 5 in the Ronald E. Dolloff Auditorium.
Athletic director Matt Lash presented Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B awards and other individual achievements before coaches recognized their student-athletes in team presentations.
The MVHS All-Sports Boosters provided light refreshments .
Longtime Panther coach George Gould (cross country, track-and-field and basketball) was recognized for his recent induction into the Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame.
The team grade-point average award winner was the girls varsity soccer squad with a 3.64 GPA.
Lash thanked the athletes for their community service and outreach projects which included: Visiting elementary schools; assisting with the Waldoboro Fire Department's celebration fundraising; assisting with middle school athletic events; volunteering with local youth soccer; and bringing awareness for several causes at homecoming by wearing purple socks and head bands.
The following athletes were selected KVAC all-conference for soccer — Jonathan Hendrickson-Belloguet, Amanda Hendrickson-Belloguet and Maria Ennamorati, first-team; and Elise Wallace, second-team. The Hendrickson-Belloguets are siblings.
The following athletes were selected KVAC all-academic (seniors with a 90 or higher GPA) — Kelsie Grady, cheering; Jessica Prescott, soccer; Taylor Simmons, soccer; Wallace, soccer; McKenzie Belcher, soccer; Danielle Hunt, soccer; A. Hendrickson-Belloguet, soccer; Desiree Leary, soccer; Heidi Obuchon, soccer; Ennamorati, soccer; Brandon Soper, soccer; Vincent Vannah, soccer; Conor Dalhberg, soccer; Kerry Madden, soccer; and Abigail Vail, cross country.

The following athletes received seven-letter jackets — Leary, soccer, indoor track and outdoor track and field; Vail, cross country, varsity boys basketball manager and track and field; Grady, cross country, fall cheering, winter cheering and track and field; Soper, soccer, basketball and baseball; and A. Hendrickson-Belloguet, soccer, basketball and softball.
