By Staff | Feb 13, 2014

Waldoboro — Medomak Valley High School varsity baseball coach Scott Hastings will offer free throwing clinics for children who live in Waldoboro, Union, Washington, Friendship and Warren and/or Regional School Unit 40 third- through eighth-grade students in February and March.

The clinics will run Tuesdays from 6 to 7 on Feb. 25, March 4, March 11 March 18 and March 25 in the gymnasium at MVHS.

Children may attend any or all of the clinics. Attendees will need to have sneakers and a baseball glove. The clinic will focus on proper throwing mechanics.

"This is a great opportunity to begin throwing before the baseball season begins," Hastings said. "Though this clinic will focus on pitching, it will be beneficial to those who play any baseball position."

No registration is required, but those with questions about the clinic can email Hastings at scott_hastings@msad40.org or leave him a phone message at the high school at 832-5389.
