Mussel Ridge Historical Society fall craft fair, bake sale
Owls Head — The Mussel Ridge Historical Society announce its annual Fall Craft Fair and Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17. The show has many new features, a new location at the Owls Head Transportation Museum on Route 73 in Owls Head which allows the crafters to all be on one floor for easy viewing. The building is handicap accessible and has free parking.
Coffee and homemade baked goods will be served at 9 a.m. and then shop until lunch. A hot luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a choice of three different dishes. Gather a group of friends and begin the season with festive fun.
There will be more than 40 crafters from all across Maine. There will be jewelers, fabric crafts, woodworking, handmade soaps, folk art painting, stain glass with sea glass, knitted toys and slippers. For friends with fur coats, there will be handmade dog toys.
Proceeds from crafter space sales and any cash donations will be applied directly to the restoration of the town`s two dilapidated one-room school houses. The income from the food table and hot lunch will support the ongoing expenses of the society. To bake for this event please call 596-6879.
