Music: up and down, inside and out
Rockland — The Speakeasy and Chowder House, 2 Park Drive, are doing anything but ease into blues festival weekend, with live music inside and out, upstairs and down through Sunday, July 13.
The Old Blues Katz featuring Rockland native D.W. Gill start things off Thursday, July 10, with live music on the patio from 6 to 9 p.m. From 9:30 to 11:30 p.m., Midcoast favorites The 220s will progressive-rock The Speakeasy.
On Friday, July 11, Mikey Cole will perform from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. upstairs in the Chowder House. Meanwhile, down in the Speakeasy, Midcoast native Andres Lascoutx will play from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Saturday, July 12, beginning 1 p.m., the Kennebunk River Band will begin playing an afternoon set out on the patio, During the North Atlantic Blues Festival Club Crawl Saturday night (9 p.m. to midnight), D.W. Gill and The Blues Prophets will play upstairs in the Chowder House and Erin Harpe & The Delta Swingers will be downstairs in The Speakeasy.
Sunday, July 13, the venues offer options before and after the festival main stage performances with Eric Green’s blues brunch 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. upstairs at the Chowder House; and a post-fest jam with The Blame Hounds downstairs in The Speakeasy.
