Violinist Robert Lehmann kicks off the Music@Noon 2016-17 season with pianist Anastasia Antonacos Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Rockland — Bay Chamber Concerts, in partnership with the Farnsworth Art Museum, presents Music@Noon lunchtime concerts one Wednesday a month in October, November, January and February. Attendees can take a midday break with light lunch and live music in the relaxed, intimate atmosphere of the downtown Farnsworth’s library.

The hour-long performances begin at noon. Tickets include a freshly prepared lunch provided by Atlantic Baking Company plus access to the museum following the performance.

Performing for this first concert in the series Oct. 19 are violinist Robert Lehmann and pianist Anastasia Antonacos, both of whom are members of the faculty at the University of Southern Maine. They will open this season’s series Oct. 19 with Ravel’s jazz-infused Sonata No. 2 in G major, Op. 77; Prokofiev’s moving and brooding Violin Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 80; and Ponce’s “Estrellita,” arranged by Jascha Heifetz.

Lehmann, of Portland, is Associate Professor of Music and Director of Strings and Orchestral Activities at the University of Southern Maine, School of Music. In addition to his duties at USM, he is music director of the Portland Chamber Orchestra, the North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra and the White Mountain Bach Festival in New Hampshire; and conductor of the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra.

An alumna of the USM School of Music, Antonacos has given notable performances around the world as a solo recitalist and chamber musician. She has played at venues such as the Salle Cortot, Casa Orfeo, Holland’s Alkmaar Conservatory and Alice Tully Hall.  She also has played in various places in the United States, including Washington, D.C., where she testified for funding for the National Endowment for the Arts.

Tickets are $30 each or $100 for all four performances; $10 for those younger than 25. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit; email; or call 236-2823.

The series is sponsored by Allen Insurance and Financial. The rest of this season’s Music@Noon concerts, all on Wednesdays, are as follows: Nov. 16, Palaver Strings; Jan. 18, DaPonte String Quartet; Feb. 15, Virtuoso Soloists.
