Music at Noon is back
Rockland — Bay Chamber Concerts, in partnership with the Farnsworth Art Museum, will present the second winter season of intimate Music at Noon lunchtime concerts beginning Wednesday, Jan. 8.
The 50-minute concerts will take place on the second Wednesday of each month through April in the downtown museum’s library. Concertgoers will enjoy a simple, tasty warm lunch from Atlantic Baking Company while surrounded by art and music. Cost is $25, $10 younger than 21; tickets include a cup of soup, bread and a cookie, as well as free entrance to the Farnsworth Art Museum following the show.
On Jan. 8, contemporary chamber music ensemble the Bayside Trio (Nicole Rabata, flute; Anastasia Antonacos, piano; Benjamin Noyes, cello) will perform a program of works by Franz Joseph Haydn, Chen Yi, Cecilia McDowall and Bohuslav Martinu. Dedicated to pioneering new works, creatively arranging for their instrumentation and presenting compelling repertoire that is seldom heard, Bayside Trio is passionate about inspiring their audiences with inventive interpretations of progressive new works.
