Multiple sclerosis group to show video on sleep problems, pain management
Rockland — The March meeting of Keep S’myelin will be held on Thursday, March 7, 11:30 a.m. at Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice at 170 Pleasant St. An awareness group for those with multiple sclerosis, their caregivers, and friends, Keep S’myelin is affiliated with the Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The group is scheduled to watch a video produced by the National MS Society on sleeplessness and pain, which are two common problems that affect many MS patients. The video gives tips and suggestions to deal with these issues and a group discussion will follow it. The Society has provided guide books that follow the presentation and participants will be encouraged to take them home for later review.
Another agenda item concerns MS Awareness Week. Since MS Awareness Week is March 11-17, this will be a great opportunity to find strategies to spread the word and raise awareness for MS, while the group is meeting.
Keep S’myelin meets monthly and programs are varied, often including speakers addressing various subjects of interest to the group. For more information please call Tom at 354-0285 or Brian at 236-2307.
