Camden — Fire departments from four towns responded to a structure fire Jan. 23 on Grove Street in Camden.

Fire crews from Camden, Rockport, Lincolnville and Hope converged on 8 Grove St. and found the single family, two-story structure full of smoke and there was a fire in the basement.

The call came in to the Knox County Regional Communications Center around 12:45 p.m. from a neighbor who said she had seen smoke coming from a vent and that the house was full of smoke.

According to neighbors at the scene, the owner of the home, Linda Zeigler was in Florida on vacation and they had gotten in contact with them by phone.

According to Camden Fire Chief Chris Farley the cause of the fire has been determined to be "of an accidental nature."
