MRC Welcomes New Trainer!
MRC is thrilled to welcome Kiefer Lammi to our new fitness studio, The Training Zone. Kiefer is a 2009 Camden Hills Regional High School graduate and VillageSoup athlete of the year, who played golf, basketball and baseball during his days with the Windjammers and was a pivotal piece of the Windjammer boys undefeated state Class B championship basketball team his senior year.
Kiefer graduated this past May with a BS in Exercise Science: Strength & Conditioning from the University of Connecticut. As a senior, Kiefer was a walk on for UConn, one of the most storied and successful Division I basketball programs in the history of collegiate sports. Since graduating, Kiefer worked as an intern coach with Cressey Performance in Hudson, MA responsible for coaching warm-up, sprint, med ball and strength exercise techniques.
Kiefer, a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, will bring the following new programing to The Training Zone
Group Strength Training Classes- A group atmosphere with programming designed to build functional strength for adults of all levels of training. While being taught proper technique, clients can work at a comfortable difficulty though a workout program Kiefer will lay out to build strength and better health.
Athlete Specific Strength Training- Private or small group training specifically designed to meet the needs of young athletes of all sports who want to get stronger, faster and most importantly to prevent injuries.
Individualized Programming- For those of you that might not want to workout under the microscope of a trainer all the time, come in for a one-time evaluation and have a monthly, individualized exercise program written to fit your goals.
Personal Training- Following an evaluation and movement screen, have a month-by-month program written for you to be executed with my guidance on a schedule based on your needs and availability.
