More than 230 items up for bid at chamber auctionLive auction is Nov. 16
Rockland — There are now more than 200 items, valued at more than $98,000, for the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce online and live auctions.
Up for bid are many products, getaways and services from hundreds of businesses and organizations. All money raised supports the chamber mission of promoting the interests of members by advocating for the commercial and economic development of the region.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 21, at 8 a.m., the virtual doors opened to the auction, which is taking place online at BiddingforGood.com/PBRCCAuction. The online auction bidding will run from through Monday, Nov. 11 at 9 p.m., with about 100 items heading to a live auction Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Rockland Elks Lodge, 210 Rankin St. in Rockland. There will be live auction items; cash raffle prizes, raffle items, a $500 Elimination Drawing (tickets, $20 each) cash bar and a concession stand. Bruce and Becky Gamage will once again be the auctioneer team.

The live auction items will be clearly identified on the website and absentee bidding will be available for those that cannot attend the live event. Items up for bid include business services, artwork, unique experiences, travel, lodging packages, dining, recreational activities, gift baskets, train rides, boat trips, festival tickets, landscaping supplies and much, much more. Everyone is welcome to browse, shop, or just drop by and sign the guest book to show their support for the auction at BiddingforGood.com/PBRCCAuction.
Donations are being accepted from now through October — simply log on to the site and click on the Donate Now button or call the Rockland Chamber office (Alicia Bagnall) with donations at 596-0376. Users can also contribute to the auction’s success by using the Tell A Friend button on the website.
