More than 100 attend Watershed open house
Camden — Watershed School, now located in the Knox Mill in Camden, opened its doors to the public Oct. 18.
The event, according to organizers, was a huge success with more than 100 people attending, a record for any Watershed school event.
Will Galloway, Head of School, spoke about the importance of the community's support in establishing a new home base and outlined aspirations for the school moving forward.
Faculty member and design head/ builder of the new school space Tom Weis spoke about the process of integrating students needs and functional school elements into the design of the space, and highlighted that the students are using the new space in their design classes to develop storage, access, and useful additions to the school. Ethics faculty Ralph Moore also spoke to the crowd.
Attendees toured the space, enjoyed live music performed by students, and mingled with Watershed staff and students. The next event Watershed will host will be a Coffee House in November, encouraging the community to attend and share their talents.
