Owls Head — The driver of a 2000 Honda motorcycle received minor injuries after police said he struck a car after attempting to pass on the left June 28 on Ingraham Drive.

At about 3:25 p.m. Arthur Hutchinson, 25, of Union was making a left-hand turn into a driveway in a 1998 Jeep Grande Cherokee when he was struck by the motorcycle, driven by Gabriel Millard, 22, of Rockland, as it collided with the front left fender of the Jeep, according to information from the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

Millard went down on his left side, skidded off the road and landed in a field, police said.

Hutchinson and a passenger were not injured. Millard received cuts and scratches from the road and was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport for further evaluation.
