Miller School welcomes students
Waldoboro — Students and teachers have filled the halls for another school year at Miller School in Waldoboro. Teachers are excited for a new school year while students are excited to see their friends and get back into the classroom.
Miller held two open houses before school started. One was on Aug. 23 for kindergartners, first-graders and second-graders and another was held on Aug. 27 for grades three to six. Students and their families were invited to come see their new teachers, classrooms and peers.
During their visit many students were seen making their own name tag, picking out their seat, going on a scavenger hunt to get familiar with the classroom and filling out a chart about what they are excited about for this school year. Fifty-five percent of the student population attended the open houses. Miller School staff members are excited for the year ahead and are looking forward to many more opportunities to get the community together.
