Military History Course Offered at UMaine Hutchinson Center

Belfast. The UMaine Hutchinson Center is offering a new course (HTY 278) that spans the role of American Military from the Revolutionary war up to and including the Vietnam conflict. This course is a survey of the American military experience from the Colonial period to the Vietnam War, emphasizing the growth of the military institution and the relationship between that institution and American society.

Class style will incorporate open discussion, respectful debate, the use of interactive maps, and review of archival documents, including journal entries, battle plans, and more.  If you are a fan of military history, then this a great course for you!  This course will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 5:30-8pm, starting on January 15th, 2013
