Waldoboro — Kristina Rolerson, an eighth-grader at the Medomak Middle School, was asked to take on a challenge last December to do any type of tribal design for her uncle's freightliner truck that travels around the United States.

She decided to accept the challenge, came up with two different designs and handed them to her uncle Al.  He told her that he would take a look at them and decide if they were what he wanted, and if so, he would choose one to have put on his truck for everyone to see as he traveled.

Rolerson's uncle did decide on one of her designs, but kept it from her as to which one he chose. Her family all showed up at the school with the truck to share her design with all the students and teachers April 10. Her family said they were very proud of her.
