Camden — Heavy rains washed out a section of Rawson Avenue and led to its closure to through-traffic Tuesday morning, April 8.

Camden Public Works dug up a small section of road directly over a culvert that allowed the runoff to be redirected under Rawson Avenue.

As of 11:15 a.m. a member of the public works department on scene said the temporary repair is moving along well and they expected to have the road open in about an hour.
