Rockland — An adventurous soul heads out for a stroll on the Rockland Breakwater Feb. 23 just after sunrise.

Hannah Lacasse, 18, of Rockland, reviews a few of the images she shot at the Rockland Breakwater Feb. 23. Unfortunately, a colorful sunrise was not in Mother Nature's plan. However the tide's calming whisper and lack of the whipping wind of the past several days made it all worth the early morning rise. (Photo by: Beth A. Birmingham)
Peeking through the clouds on the horizon over the Rockland Breakwater, the sun sheds some light on the lighthouse and silhouettes the masts of some boats stored along the waterfront  Feb. 23. This was the calm before the storm that came and dumped several inches of snow in Rockland Feb. 24. (Photo by: Beth A. Birmingham)
