Midcoast ‘Community’ at River Arts

Damariscotta — “My Community,” a juried show of work by more than 50 Maine artists, is on view through May 22 at River Arts, Route 1.

The juror for this exhibition of work in a wide variety of media was Susan Danly, Senior Curator at Portland Museum of Art (2002-2012). A specialist in American art and the history of photography and a curator of American art with more than 30 years of experience, Danly holds doctorate and master’s degrees from Brown University.

A number of Midcoast artists have work in “My Community” including Pat Ryan of Cushing; Petrea Noyes of Lincolnville; Kathi Peters of Morrill; Ian Bruce of Northport; Roberta Baumann of South Thomaston; Roberta Goschke, Robert Macdonald and Delia Mohlie of Waldoboro; and Phillip Hopkins and Sheila Traynor of Warren.

River Arts is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit riverartsme.org.
