Metal artists from Mercer, ME at Arts in the Park this summer

By Arts in the Park | Jun 14, 2014

Dave and Eda Benttinen are metal artists who met in Alaska and began D&E Metalworks in 1982. Dave as a commercial hard-hat diver and underwater welder and Eda was a steel boatbuilder and marine construction welder. They moved to Mercer, ME in 1985. Inspired by the rural setting, Eda returned to an earlier interest crafting wind chimes and chimes. Dave began making unique forged hangers and hooks for the chimes. Over the years, their work has found its way into galleries, garden centers and private homes throughout the country.

Dave and Eda will be back at Arts in the Park on Belfast, after several years absence, on July 12 and 13
