Waldoboro — The Medomak Valley High School Boosters Club will sponsor a tennis clinic for middle school students.

The clinic, for boys and girls, will be Monday through Thursday, July 21-24, and Monday through Wednesday, July 28-30, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., on the MVHS courts.

MVHS boys varsity coach Bill Hinkley and Panther girls varsity assistant coach Cheryl Ryan will run the camp, along with boys and girls players.

"Tennis is a life-long sport and we would love to see more kids playing in our area,” said Hinkley. “In a two-week clinic, we'll be able to give the kids a good introduction to the game, so that they'll be able to play and improve on their own."

The cost of the clinic is $40 and includes a t-shirt. Registration is the first day of the clinic or in advance by calling Hinkley at 832-6558.
