Medomak River Community Market reopens March 1

Feb 27, 2013

Waldoboro — The Medomak River Community Market — a cooperative market in the heart of Waldoboro Village —will be reopening Friday, March 1.

Members have spent the last two months cleaning and reorganizing the market. They have also created a special "nook” to honor Women’s History Month.

The market carries a wide variety of handmade, Maine-made products. Just a sampling would include bees wax candles, handmade soaps, beautiful and pottery, cards, photos, jewelry, children’s clothing, hand spun and dyed wools, felted items, stained glass items, and up-cycled building salvage materials and much more.

In honor of Women's History Month, the market will provide books and CDs that explore women’s lives and issues for individuals to browse and/or borrow.

Donations will be accepted on behalf of New Hope for Women, a local organization working to end domestic violence .
