Meals on Wheels Ornament and Center Decorating PartyWith a Performance by the South Bristol Elementary School Handbell ChoirAt Spectrum GenerationsCoastal Community Center
|Dec 11, 2012|
Help kick off the holidays at Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center. On December 11 at 9:00 a.m. the Coastal Community Center will start the season’s holiday celebration with a performance by the South Bristol Elementary School’s Handbell Choir. SBS Music Director Ms. McLvor will conduct the school’s handbell choir as the students perform holiday classics.
Bring your holiday supplies, craft kits, creativity and help community members make non-perishable ornaments for Lincoln County’s MOW recipients while enjoying the South Bristol Elementary School’s 2012 handbell performance. Holiday ornaments are placed on the Center’s Meals on Wheels ornament tree. Community members are then invited to give a gift of a meal accompanied by a holiday ornament. A MOW gift is only $4, the suggested donation for one hot, nutritious meal delivered to the consumer’s home the Friday before Christmas. For more information about this year’s “Gift of a Meal” fundraiser please contact Robin Maginn at 563-1363 or mail your donation (check made out to Spectrum Generations) to: Spectrum Generations, Coastal Community Center, 521 Main Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543
Bring a holiday plant, wreath, seasonal terrarium or centerpiece and help your Center catch the spirit of the season in a unique style reflective of the diversity of those who visit. This year’s theme is “Creating the Twelve Days of Christmas for Santa’s Reindeer”. This is your chance to put a smile on the face of everyone who participates in a Coastal Center program or activity during the holiday season. Your help in making sure that the spirit of the season resonates throughout the Center is needed and greatly appreciated. So that we know how many listeners and decorators to expect, please call 563-1363 to express your interest. Snacks and beverages provided.
