Rockport — The Midcoast Junior Golf Association kicked off its 2012 summer tournament series June 17 at the Samoset Resort, with 24 youngsters in three separate divisions teeing up for a beautiful day on the links.

Drew Holt of Rockport shot 40 for nine holes to win Division 1, while Ethan Davidson of Albany, Ga. shot 43 to win Division 2 and Parker Hilchey of Spruce Head shot 55 to win Division 3.

The next summer tournament will be Sunday, July 8 at Wawenock Golf Club in Walpole. Children ages 8-18 can register for the series and be part of the MCJGA.

Division 1 — Holt, 40; Drew Long, 41; Eddie Socker, 49; and Zac Bernard, 53.

Division 2 — Davidson, 43; Cole Anderson, 47; Bailey Plourde and Ryan Lawrence, 51; Matthew Prescott, 53; Hunter Dinsmore, 58; Alex Taylor, 62; Zach Dorr, 67; James Lynch, 70; Gavin Clark, 72; and Tommy Thelander, 93.

Division 3 — Hilchey, 55; Carter Fogarty, Jacob Caroll and Makayla Alden, 72; Morgan Knauer, 73; and Kate Knauer, 89.
