McCluskey wins good citizen award
Rockport — Eddie McCluskey, son of Mary and John McCluskey of Hope, has been selected to receive Camden Hills Regional High School's Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Award.
McCluskey, a senior, has been involved in many school activities during the past four years. He has been a member of the swim and cross-country teams for four years and has served as captain on both of these teams. He has also been on the spring track team. He has served on the student council and is a member of the National Honor Society. He also attended a summer research trip to the Bahamas during the summer of 2012, along with attending a Student Leadership Conference. In the community, he is active as an altar server at the local Catholic church.
The selection process begins with the high school staff nominating three seniors for the award. The criteria for the award includes the following: dependability — truthfulness, loyalty, punctuality; service — cooperation, courtesy, consideration of others; leadership — personality, self-control, ability to assume responsibility; patriotism — unselfish interest in family, school, community and nation.
Other seniors nominated were Alex Crans and Kristina Alex.
The Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Award is sponsored by Lady Knox Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
