Mariners, Panthers compete in April 12 play day

Brunswick, Foxcroft Academy also participate

Thomaston — The Oceanside baseball team hosted the first of two play days Saturday, April 12 as neighboring Medomak Valley of Waldoboro, along with Brunswick and Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft, were among the four competing squads.

The Mariners faced the Dragons in the first game of the day, while the Panthers later squared off against the Ponies. Medomak Valley then faced Brunswick, while Oceanside played Foxcroft Academy to end the four-game session.

Scores from the games were unavailable.

Oceanside will host a second play day Saturday, April 19, where neighboring Camden Hills, along with Brewer and Messalonskee of Oakland, will participate.
