Mariners continue to look for program's first mat win

Rockport — Only a few meets into its existence, the Oceanside wrestling team continues to look for its first win of the season.

In its first year as a club sport, the Mariners traveled to Camden Hills for a four-team meet Dec. 15, an event that featured Mount View of Thorndike, Skowhegan and host Camden Hills, the defending state Class B champion.

The Mariners were downed by all three teams Saturday, falling to the Mustangs 51-12, to the Indians 66-12 and to the Windjammers 84-0.

The individual results from Saturday's meet, with Oceanside wrestlers listed first, were:

106 pounds — Jonathan Robishaw won by forfeit over Skowhegan and Mount View; and was pinned by Zach Annis, CH, at 5:22.

120 pounds — Dallas Ball was pinned by Tyler Craig, Skow, at 2:45; was pinned by John Underhill, CH, at 2:57; and lost to James Blanchette, MtV, 11-9.

152 pounds — Autumn Keene was pinned by Logan Stevens, Skow, at 0:56; was pinned by Eli Smith, CH, at 0:18; and was pinned by Anthony Barnard, MtV, at 1:13.

160 pounds — Tony Baudanza was pinned by Carter Jackson, Skow, at 1:34; was pinned by Max Bryant, CH, at 1:48; and was pinned by Kendric Shibles, MtV, at 2:17.

195 pounds — Travis Stone was pinned by Bryan Clement, CH, at 3:39; and won by forfeit over Mount View.

285 pounds — Alex Rackliffe won by forfeit over Skowhegan; was pinned by Kaylo Littlejohn, CH, at 1:00; and was pined by Devin Fuller, MtV, at 0:47.
