Mank named career, technical education student of the year

Rockland — Mid-Coast School of Technology congratulates Devon Mank from Medomak Valley High School for being named the 2014 MCST Maine Administrators of Career and Technical Education Student of the Year.

On May 3, Mank accepted the award from Congressman Mike Michaud and Executive Director Don Cannan at Lewiston Region Technical Center.

Mank is a second year student in the Machine Tool program at Mid-Coast School of Technology. In the program, he has earned certifications for measurement, safety, and materials from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills.

Mank has been accepted into the pre-engineering program at Southern Maine Community College. After completing his studies at SMCC, he will enroll in the mechanical engineering program at the University of Maine.

Mank is the son of Paul and Elsie Mank of Union.
