Man charged with assault in alcohol-related incident
Hope — Deputies of the Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested Matthew Berry, 36, of Lincolnville, and charged him with domestic violence assault against a woman around 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, on Robbins Road.
Berry allegedly pushed and grabbed the female, who was taken to the hospital by Northeast Mobile Health Services and was later released, according to an incident report. Alcohol was involved, the Sheriff's Office said.
Sheriff Donna Dennison said the victim had “obvious signs of injury” on the bridge of her nose and her cheek.
According to the report, Berry was taken to the Knox County Jail, where he was also issued summonses for operating under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
