Man charged in Warren metal burglary
Warren — Daniel Boyce was arrested Dec. 19 after police say they witnessed him leaving a Warren home with several hundred dollars worth of metals.
Deputy Nathaniel Jack and Lt. Reginald Walker conducted surveillance on an unoccupied house on Finntown Road after receiving information gathered during an investigation, according to a news release from the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
Moments after the surveillance began, Boyce was seen leaving the area of the residence. Deputies stopped Boyce and found him in possession of several hundred dollars of stolen metals. It was determined later that the metals were in fact taken from the Warren residence, according to the release.
Boyce, 38, of Warren, was arrested, taken to Knox County Jail. He has been charged with burglary, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, trespass by motor vehicle and violating conditions of release.
