Maine Rail Conference on track for Owls Head
Owls Head — Maine Rail Group announces its first Maine Rail Conference set for Saturday, April 12, at Owls Head Transportation Museum
MRG in association with OHTM are teaming up for a one day Maine Rail Conference at the Owls Head Transportation Museum.
Featured will be tables set up and manned by many of Maine’s railroads (freight, tourist and narrow gage), railroad museums, and railroad related groups from around Maine.
There will be an afternoon multi–media program and lecture starting at 1 p.m. See OHTM.org for more details.
OHTM will also be promoting the event with museum access, food concessions and advertising in their newsletter. This program and the museum is open and free to the public and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone of any age with a general interest in Maine’s railroads, as well as professionals in rail business, will gather to take a pulse on the state of rail in Maine.
This event coincides with the Maine Eastern’s Railroad’s Touch-a-Train event being held nearby on the same date at the Train Station in Rockland.
Visitors are encouraged to visit both events and experience all aspects of Maine railroading.
