Boothbay — Basking in the middle of summer and the height of the beautiful flower season, hardly anyone wants to be reminded that December is less than six months away. However, with December comes the opening days for entering the 2014 Maine Photography Show … and now is the time to gather images for the Special Theme category, since Flowers is the theme.

The Maine Photography Show is the state's premiere juried show of Maine-only photographers. Presented and hosted by Boothbay Region Art Foundation in Boothbay Harbor, MPS is now in its ninth year and welcomes Freeman Patterson as juror for 2014. In addition to the Special Theme Flowers, entries will be judged and awarded prizes in the categories of Color, Black and White and Student. Student photographers have their own category.
