CAMDEN, Maine – Natalie's award winning Executive Chef Geoffroy Deconink is invited by the Maine Office of Tourism to demonstrate his culinary talents and represent 'food destination Maine' at the nation's leading travel show in Washington DC on March 10.

At one of America's largest and most important Travel Shows, attended by tens of thousands of people browsing for their next vacation destination, Deconinck will show a captive audience how to prepare Maine Lobster with Rutabaga puree, Vanilla, Broccolini, Brussels Sprouts, Butternut Squash Gnocchi and Shellfish Foam. Top chefs from all over the world will showcase their talents at the travel show. The food demonstrations are presented by internationally acclaimed celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern.

The lobster dish presented by Geoffroy Deconinck is also featured on the current menu of the restaurant.

In 2011 and 2012 Deconinck was nominated among the Best New Chefs In The USA by Food and Wine Magazine (people's choice) and earlier this week Camden was ranked fifth as food town in New England partly because of Deconink's nominations and talents.

"Although perhaps a bit of a cliche to bring lobster when you represent the restaurant industry of Maine in Washington DC, I strongly feel that this is one of the finest ingredients Maine has to offer" Deconinck says. " My approach is different from most chefs and the attendees of the travel show will get a unique inside on how I work this beautiful Maine ingredient into a fine dining dish" Deconinck continues.

Both Deconinck and Raymond Brunyanszki (owner of Camden Harbour Inn and Natalie's Restaurant) are truly honored to represent Maine and it's culinary industry: "We work extremely hard to prepare beautiful food on a very high level using mostly local ingredients. In addition we offer one of world's finest lodging experiences" Brunyanszki says. " We are honored and humbled that Maine Office of Tourism approached us to represent Maine in Washington DC".

The Washington DC Travel and Adventure show is held at the Washington Convention Center on March 9 and 10.

Natalie's Tom Laslavic Best Bartender Of Maine

In the evening of March 10, Tom Laslavic, bartender at Natalie's will also represent the award winning restaurant when he competes for his title 'Best Bartender In Maine 2012', at the signature event in Portland Maine. He was also awarded best bartender of Maine in 2010 and second runner up in 2011. The Signature event and Bartenders bash is the closing event of Maine Restaurant Week 2013.

Brunyanszki says: "We have many exciting things going on that weekend, it will be a logistic challenge to support everybody representing our company. But..it is such a pleasure to work with highly talented and motivated people!".
